Overview
Students for Educational Reform is a new nonprofit founded for students, by students that meets the clear and urgent need for a powerful student organizing body for education reform, demanding change in a system that currently fails millions of students.
Our founders launched Students for Education Reform as college freshmen, each bringing a different perspective: one a lifelong public school student and local school board member, and the other an aspiring teacher from Washington, DC. Together, they created a platform for college students to share their stories on one campus; today, we are a movement on over 100 campuses across the country.
We are students united by a shared mission.
We believe student voices matter. For too long, policymakers have not heard the voice of the stakeholders affected by education policy: students themselves.

Every great social justice movement in this country has had college students at the forefront – now, we are standing on the shoulders of giants as we lead the student movement for educational equity.
